Women of all nationalities have played a very important role during and after the war. Whether they were nurses, workers in factories or auxiliaries in the Army they were able to bring support, aid and comfort to not only soldiers but also civilians who had to suffer directly during this conflict, especially in the areas of the frontline fighting.
Some of them, from good families brought their contributions after the war for reconstruction and assistance to the people of devastated zones.
This tour will introduce you to some of these women or those associations which were good for these men, women and children directly affected by this tragedy and whose traces are still visible today. We will take you to places like Tilloloy, Blerancourt or the Somme American Cemetery.
