The Battle of the Chemin des Dames will forever mark the spirits by its atrocities. Indeed between the 16th of April until the 24th of October, 1917, losses will rise for the two belligerents French and Germans more than 350000 casualties (dead or injured). This offensive under the command of General Nivelle will be a tragedy for the French Army.
We propose to discover the landmarks of this battle as the Plateau de Californie, including remains of trenches, the former village of Craonne totally destroyed and was never rebuilted on its location, Berry-au-Bac and the first massive involvement of French tanks, French and German cemeteries in Cerny-en-Laonnois and its chapel and also the Caverne du Dragon.
We propose a full day's visit. For more of information and prices, contact us.
